About

Detroit Classic Gallery is a record label rooted in Detroit-inspired electronic music, founded in 2016 by DJs Sol Ortega, Guido Sartoris and Chiri.

The project focused on developing a simple, timeless visual identity that could move seamlessly across digital platforms, merchandise, record covers and event communication. Moving away from a more complex wordmark, the redesign distilled the label into a clean geometric form designed for longevity, adaptability and immediate recognition.

Contributions

Led the rebranding and visual identity redesign, creating a flexible system that could live across digital communication, merchandise, football-inspired jerseys, record covers, event materials and physical formats.

Originally developed in 2019 between Buenos Aires and Berlin, the identity continues to remain highly visible across the electronic music scene more than five years later, accompanying the label’s growth across Argentina and Europe.

As the label evolved, the logo became part of its wider cultural ecosystem, regularly appearing through fan-made objects and reinterpretations — from handcrafted rugs to metallic artworks, gifts and community-made pieces reflecting a visual language that continues to resonate beyond its original context.
